To adopt a candidate exoplanet host star, follow the three steps below.

Select a star: You can select any star that has not already been adopted. Below is a list of candidate exoplanet host stars identified in the NASA Exoplanet Archive. These are stars where a planet-like signal has been found, but where a variety of other scenarios that could mimic a planet have not yet been conclusively ruled out (more than 80% are expected to be real planets). Note the KIC number of the star that you want and continue to step 3.

Adopt the star: Fill out the form below with: (1) the email address from your donation, (2) the names you want to appear on the certificate, and (3) the KIC number of the star you want. You will receive an email with your star certificate within 15 minutes. Your star adoption will be recorded in the text catalog and added to the placemark in Google Sky.
